The end of the year is around the corner. A new year isn’t different. The chances that things will shift dramatically are very low. It’s only the speed of time passing that amazes me.
But a new year is the perfect opportunity to pause and reflect.
What am I doing? And what do I actually want to be doing?
Where am I heading? And where do I actually want to be heading?
What does each zodiac sign want to be doing and where they do want to be heading in 2022?
This is a short and sweet post to reflect on this. Feel free to take inspiration from the sign that is your ruling sign, your sun sign or your moon sign. They’ll each speak to different parts of you.
Something like New Year’s Resolutions for the Zodiac
Aries wants an action plan. They’ll need a list of what they desire to accomplish this year and a short breakdown of how they’ll reach these goals. Because once they’re started, it’s hard for Aries to recalibrate, so you’ll have to do most of the planning ahead.
a small daily action: keep a piece of paper with your goals for this year. Each morning or evening, check that what you’re going to do is a step forward in the right direction.
Taurus wants beauty and peace. Each time I think of Taurus I wonder, who doesn’t want beauty and peace? But the truth is very few people truly seek beauty and peace. Taurus needs to be deliberate with how they adorn their environment and themselves.
The more Taurus is able to slow down and seek fully in the moment, the better they’ll feel.
a small daily action: decorate your self in a way that pleases you and brings a smile to your lips each time you see yourself in the mirror.
Gemini wants the world and they want it now. Gemini wants to feel movement and the end of the year can be scary if they decide that they haven’t achieved enough those past 12 months. Gemini needs to let go of the belief that they can stretch themselves until they’re a cloud of air.
a small daily action: close your eyes, stay still and savor 3 of your favorite songs. Let yourself be the songs. If you can’t hear well or if you’re not into music, savor a cup of your favorite drink while gazing at a photo, a painting or a landscape you enjoy.
Cancer wants a warm blanket to be always wrapped around them and that’s an awesome idea. Cancer will be happy if they can nourish their sense of well-being, wherever they are. Find what helps you to thicken your shell until you feel, not invincible, but capable in all situations.
a small daily action: connect with one of your lucky charms. Do you have a necklace, a earring, a key-pendant or a pin that stays always close to you? Perhaps a small stone that you keep in your pocket. Cherish, touch it, talk to it so that it feels like a true talisman. That’s not childish, that’s magic.
Leo wants a world where everyone feels at ease. They’ll need to work on how they can feel at ease and authentic. They’ll need to balance confidence and humility. The challenge of Leo is that they want to be perfect and human at the same time.
How can you share your authenticity while also letting others shine?
a small daily action: practice a balance of focused speaking and active listening once a day in any small conversation. It will be easier with your loved ones. Focused speaking means talking with a clear intention in mind and not simply to share your life, but not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Virgo wants the harvest to go well. Like Gemini, Virgo wants everything at once, but they’re much more patient. Which can be super exhausting because they’re actually aware of all there is to do and how much time and effort it’s going to take.
Virgo needs to scale down the scope of their actions and beware of perfectionist tendencies. Life is supposed to be too short, messy and left unfinished.
a small daily action: celebrate every small action you’ve accomplished at the end of the day. Learn to celebrate every step of your journey towards your destination.
Libra wants to express themselves freely. I think art is great for Libra, but their art doesn’t have to be great. Paint, write, dance, knit… and enjoy the results of your work. It may suck but whatever, try to be happy with it because it was a fun activity.
Libra need to give themselves more love and appreciation.
a small daily action: do or enjoy some art. You could chill 10 minutes on Pinterest or Instagram to find artists you enjoy.
Scorpio wants to rest and dream for a very long time. This might sound like some silly advice but Scorpio needs to take the time to sleep enough each night. This will make their life so much easier.
Scorpio is great at strategy. They’ll benefit from adding their intuition to the mix and going with the flow instead of sticking to the plan.
a small daily action: try to remember your dreams in the morning and reflect on how they’re meaningful to you and your present life. If you don’t like remembering your dreams, try to find omens in the movies you watch or books you read.
Sagittarius wants to find the way out of this maze. Sagittarius has a lot of dreams and hopes, but they’re not always clear on how to best achieve them. Their vision shines so bright that it’s hard to get how small daily actions will make them come true.
Sagittarius needs to track how what’s in their mind has an impact on what they do and vice-versa.
small daily action: take a bit of time with your morning coffee or your regular walk to reminisce about the past. What made things shift the way they do? Notice how the flow of time and events, despite being very random, is still contained within human bonds.
Capricorn wants their life to be already perfect. “Already” as if life could ever be perfect. Capricorn will enjoy noticing all the small things that are already perfect in their life. They need to take more time doing things that cannot be judged or qualified, like petting a cat.
small daily action: spend some time with children, animals or doing childish things, like playing Pokemon or Animal Crossing.
Aquarius wants everyone to be reasonable. But it’s already so tiring to be reasonable yourself. And how could you ever understand other people’s logic? Aquarius will be happier focusing on their own thoughts, on discovering their own logic and remembering that we all think super differently. Remember, you cannot be in other people’s mind, and that’s a good thing.
small daily action: take some time journaling about your values and how your mind works.
Pisces wants to understand everything. Pisces doesn’t have the reputation of being a seeker of knowledge. They’re more seen as the dreamy poet, which is true too. Pisces wants to understand everything because they want to feel everything. That have this expanding heart and mind that are only one.
Pisces needs to reassure themselves that they’re alright, because wanting and feeling so much is very unsettling.
small daily action: find a bunch of affirmations and quotations that touch you and read them everyday.
